After months of rumors and speculation Apple finally releases the new MacBook Pro 16 inch.

The new 16 inch MacBook Pro now replaces the old 15 inch MacBook Pro and like all things new, Apple tried to address the issues of the old 15 inch MacBook Pro.

I think the goal was to bring back the magic of the MacBook Pro every Mac user liked. I’m talking about the 2015 MacBook Pro.

So what are some of the improvements.

The first and most important thing they changed is the keyboard. Its a scissor switch keyboard, no more Butterfly. Thank-goodness those Butterfly keyboards were a nightmare.

Apple calls it the magic keyboard because it stems from the magic keyboard. The keyboard now has a genuine physical Escape Key, the inverted T arrow keys, which are easier to hit.

Sadly the touch bar is still there which in my opinion is a band aid for a touch screen. I never used it the way Apple intended but Apple still believes people need it.

The new MacBook Pro 16-inch has a similar design and almost the same size as the 15-inch. Apple increased the screen size by reducing the bezzles both on top and sides of the screen.

Whats under the hood of the new MacBook 16-inch

There are different configurations. You can choose between a 2.6Ghz 6 core intel i7 processor or 2.3Ghz 8 core intel i9 processor but they are all intel’s 9th gen processors not the new 10th gen.

the base configuration have 16G RAM, 32G RAM and tops out at 64G RAM likewise you start with 512G SSD and can all the way up to 8T SSD. I kid you not 8T which is bunkers. I’ve never heard of that in a laptop before and knowing apple a storage capasity that size will cost way more than a Kidney.

Graphics starts at a 4G AMD Radeon pro 5300M GPU, 4G AMD Radeon pro 5500M GPU, and 8G AMD Radeon pro 5500M GPU.

Apple put in a lot of work for the audio experience. There is a 6 speaker set up with force cancelling subwoofers that are meant to cancel each other out to mitigate distortion that will come from vibrations in the machine.

Put simply, the speakers, are awesome. There is a 3 Mic array on the left side and Apple claims its studio quality and can be used like a professional mic to record podcast.

The speaker and Mic is something we will have to test later on and compare it to the new Micro Soft Surface Laptop 3 15 inch and the Blue Yeti which is the industry standard.

As for the battery, the new MacBook Pro 16 inch sports a Built‑in 100‑watt‑hour lithium‑polymer battery which is the maximum size capacity allowed on airplanes by the FAA coupled with a 96W USB‑C Power Adapter.

Apple says its redesigned the fans and thermal sync to make the new MacBook Pro 16 inch more efficient and this gives the new MacBook Pro 11 hrs of battery life. Thats a 1 hr improvement from the old MacBook Pro 15 inch.

Its safe to say that Apple made significant improvements on this new machine and starting today, the new MacBook Pros are available for preoders on Apple and should start shipping by the end of the week.

The base configuration starts at $2399 and a step up configuration that starts at $2799 and you can upgrade depending on how deep your pocket is.
